Achieving the qualification
The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Award has one assessment: This is based on a workplace assessment looking at and identifying health and safety management processes and workplace hazards. You must achieve a ‘Pass’ in the unit to be awarded the qualification. Once you have achieved a Pass a qualification parchment will be issued, within 20 working days of the result declaration date for the unit
Resubmitting the assessment
You can resubmit your assessment if you received a ‘Refer’ result. There is no limit on the number of times you can resubmit, however, you must register and pay the associated registration fee on each occasion. Qualification grading and issue of qualification parchment

Identifies health & safety issues present, how they are controlled, & if the risk can be reduced

Selects the most important issue for improvement using moral, legal & financial reasons.

Qualification level and number of credits: SCQF Level 5 (equivalent to RQF Level 2) with 2 credits

Recommended minimum standards of English: Equivalent to an International English Language Testing System score of 5.0 or higher in IELTS tests
